Iligan Welcomes the Paskuhan Women’s Bazaar
The City Mayor’s Office – Gender and Development (CMO-GAD) formally opens the Iligan Paskuhan Women’s Bazaar on December 15, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at the Poblacion Extension Post Office in Iligan City. The initiative supports the city’s commitment to women’s economic empowerment and inclusive community participation, aligned with the CMO-GAD mission of building a gender-responsive, inclusive, and safe-for-all Iligan. The bazaar serves as a welcoming space where women entrepreneurs and local producers can showcase their skills, creativity, and locally made products.
Visitors can expect a wide variety of offerings, including:
- Fashion pieces, clothes, and unique apparel
- Handcrafted bags, jewelry, and accessories
- Ethnic weaves, textiles, and sustainable fashion items
- Handmade hats, scarves, and bespoke products
- Locally made snacks, pastries, sweets, and specialty baked goods
Mayor Frederick Siao has expressed full support for the Women’s Bazaar, highlighting his administration’s focus on inclusive growth, livelihood opportunities, and community-based initiatives that strengthen local industries and uplift women.
