Iligan Showcases Opportunities for Tech-Driven Talent

Iligan City is set to host HulagwAI Mindanao: A Business Analytics and AI Conference 2025, bringing students, professionals, and innovators together for a full day of competitions and discussions centered on analytics, artificial intelligence, and responsible technology. The event will take place on December 17 at Robinsons GO Hotel.

The conference highlights three major competitions designed to develop digital skills and inspire real-world problem solving:

1. Student Project Pitching (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)

• Open to Grade 11–12 students, individual or teams of 2–3
• Focus on practical and impactful AI or analytics solutions
• Cash prizes to be announced

2. Professional Project Pitching (10:00 AM)

• For start-ups, MSMEs, industry players, independent innovators, and college-level teams
• Emphasis on ethical, scalable, and market-ready AI or analytics tools

3. Region 10 Quiz Bowl (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)

• Open to Grade 11–12 teams of three from public and private schools in Region 10
• Covers AI, analytics, tech ethics, and local innovation

Organized by DTI–Lanao del Norte, CDIIS LGU-Iligan, MSU-IIT FabLab Mindanao, and AAP, the event supports the region’s goal of empowering emerging tech leaders and building a stronger innovation ecosystem.
