Mindanao Scholars Invited to Join 2026–2027 Fulbright U.S.-ASEAN Program
The Fulbright U.S.-ASEAN Visiting Scholar Initiative has officially opened its 2026–2027 application cycle. The program continues its mission of strengthening academic collaboration by supporting scholars across ASEAN, including those from Mindanao’s universities and research institutions. More than 130 scholars have benefited from this initiative since 2012, contributing to studies in public health, food safety, economic integration, maritime security, and efforts against human trafficking.
Award Terms for Selected Grantees
The published award terms include:
- Monthly stipend between US $3,164 and US $4,805, depending on the U.S. host city
- Round-trip, economy-class airfare
- US $2,233 for professional and settling-in allowance
- Case-by-case review of qualifying university lab or research fees
- No dependent support included in the program benefits
