Davao Launches Pasko sa Barangay Hall Contest with Full Guidelines and Prizes

Mindanao Celebrates Community Creativity Through Pasko sa Barangay Hall 2025

Davao City brings back the well-loved Pasko sa Barangay Hall competition as part of Pasko Fiesta 2025, encouraging barangays to illuminate their halls with festive, culturally rooted Christmas designs. Open to all 182 barangays, the contest highlights the theme “Paskong Pinoy”, promoting traditions, values, and unity across Mindanao communities.

Key Guidelines for Barangay Participation

  • Decorations must cover the barangay hall façade, interior, and surrounding public area, reflecting the Pasko Fiesta theme.
  • Required elements include one large parol and a nativity set.
  • Materials may be recycled, new, or indigenous, showcasing creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Lighting must be safe, energy efficient, and visible at night.
  • Each barangay must submit:
    • A short English write-up (max 50 words)
    • A 2-minute video (1-minute day, 1-minute night)
    • Clear photos of all decorated areas

Entries must be submitted by November 26, 2025, through the official email [email protected].


District and Citywide Judging for Mindanao Holiday Excellence

Fifteen qualifiers per district will be announced on November 29, followed by district judging from December 1–3. Each district will produce three winners, who will advance to the citywide finals.

Judging Criteria

  • Creativity & Originality – 30 points
  • Relevance to Theme – 30 points
  • Resourcefulness / Use of Materials – 20 points
  • Overall Impact (Day & Night) – 20 points

Awards and Prizes

Congressional District Prizes:

  • First Place – ₱75,000
  • Second Place – ₱50,000
  • Third Place – ₱30,000

Overall City Final Prizes:

  • First Place – ₱250,000
  • Second Place – ₱150,000
  • Third Place – ₱100,000
  • Consolation Prizes (6 entries) – ₱35,000 each

All finalists may enhance their designs until December 9, with final judging on December 10 and 11. Awarding will be held on December 12, 2025, at Rizal Park.
