Mindanao Creativity Takes Center Stage in Bukidnon’s Christmas Celebrations
Bukidnon Announces Provincewide Christmas Village and Lantern Competitions
The Provincial Government of Bukidnon has opened entries for two major holiday competitions: the Christmas Village Competition and the Christmas Lantern Competition, both featuring the province’s 2025 Christmas theme, “Gifts of Cheer from Santa’s Sleigh.”

Christmas Village Competition Highlights
- Open to all, limited to 30 slots
- Entries must reflect the theme using blue, silver, and gold
- Structures must be earth-friendly, using recycled or sustainable materials
- Lighting features required; open flames prohibited
- Must be durable and suitable for outdoor display
- Completion deadline: November 19, 2025
Judging Criteria
- Theme alignment – 25%
- Sustainable materials – 15%
- Workmanship and durability – 25%
- Artistry and overall appearance – 15%
- Social media impact – 20%
Prizes
- 1st: ₱100,000 + trophy
- 2nd: ₱80,000 + trophy
- 3rd: ₱60,000 + trophy
- All participants receive a plaque of appreciation
Winners will be announced on December 15, 2025 at Kaamulan Park, Malaybalay City, with judging from November 20 to December 14.
Christmas Lantern Competition Details
- Open to individuals, groups, CSOs, NGOs, LGUs, and private companies
- Must follow the same theme, using blue, silver, and gold colors
- Lanterns must be earth-friendly and feature lighting
- Maximum size: 1.5 meters in height or width
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor display
- Submission deadline: November 19, 2025, 5 PM at the Provincial Tourism Office
Judging Criteria
- Specifications compliance – 15%
- Sustainable materials – 25%
- Workmanship and durability – 20%
- Artistry and appearance – 20%
- Social media impact – 20%
Prizes
- 1st: ₱10,000 + trophy
- 2nd: ₱7,000 + trophy
- 3rd: ₱5,000 + trophy
- 30 consolation prizes: ₱1,000 each
- All participants receive certification
